PC3 Laboratory
Total Precision Cleanrooms Aust were engaged to build a PC3 containment facility to combat the potential threat of Ebola within Australia, for Melbourne Health.
The project had a very tight timeframe and a tight budget also. TPC utilized existing materials from another site which included the barrier containment doors and manufactured the remaining components locally such as the dunk tank, windows and finishes. The facility on completion maintained a leakage rate of 28 Litres per minute @200Pa, well below the maximum allowable leakage of 120L per minute.
The laboratory was temporarily closed not long after the threat of Ebola subsided. with the current pandemic, COVID-19 the laboratory is being upgraded and re commissioned to become fully operational.
